TCO, emissions and comfort

Egholm compares the total cost of ownership, emissions and comfort of the NEW petrol-driven City Ranger 2260 with those of the alternatives

The total cost of ownership (TCO) is one of the very important parameters when deciding on making an investment in utility machines. Therefore, we have compared TCO, emission levels and driver comfort of the new petrol-driven City Ranger 2260 with the previous diesel-driven Stage IIIA City Ranger 2250 and an alternative model using a Stage V diesel common-rail engine.

Petrol-driven means lower TCO, particle emissions, NOx emission

Petrol-driven means lower TCO, particle emissions, NOx emission

The new City Ranger 2260 with petrol engine means that you incur 2% lower TCO than was the case with the previous model and 12% lower TCO when compared to alternative common-rail diesel engines.

Today, most cities increasingly focus on the environment. One focus area is the reduction of emissions from vehicles - especially the reduction of NOx particles. One solution to this problem is using petrol-driven engines instead of diesel-driven ones.

The new petrol-driven City Ranger 2260 is, therefore, a good choice in ensuring better air quality in the cities. It complies with the new emission trends and requirements in every way with a total of 96% reduction in NOx emissions. At the same time, the service and maintenance costs are expected to be lower than those offered by alternative solutions.

Well-kept outdoor areas all year round

The powerful petrol engine with four-wheel drive ensures that you can handle all sweeping challenges, ground care and winter tasks. A complete series of all of 14 different high-quality attachments: mowers, sweeping and winter attachments ensure perfect results. With Egholm’s specially developed unique Quick-shift system, attachments can be changed in less than one minute.

An operation which ensures the best possible operator comfort. With an optional cabin, the operator is well-protected from all kinds of weather. And all attachments for the earlier City Ranger 2250 models are, naturally, compatible with the new petrol-driven City Ranger 2260.

All attachments are developed and manufactured by Egholm based on the one imperative requirement that machine and attachments work together as ONE single machine.

Operating a machine for many hours a day may be demanding on the operator. This is why Egholm continues to work to ensure optimum operator comfort. The City Ranger 2260 constitutes not merely a change to petrol engines - operator ergonomics are also improved. Egholm has taken care to optimise the space inside the cabin as well as reduce vibrations.

Tests show that the new 2260 generation provides an improved user experience. With high manoeuvrability, a compact design and ease of operation, the City Ranger 2260 is almost able to turn on a penny. With an internal turning circle of only 1200 mm, the City Ranger 2260 is able to twist round lampposts and other obstacles in the cityscape. Moreover, ease of operation is important, both in terms of operating efficiency and operator safety and comfort.
